In ESOL this week we started watching a movie called Wonder, the movie is about a boy with a facial differences. It was my first time watching it and it was really fun, but my other friends has already watched it they said to me before we watched it they said that it is a good movie and a touching moving. That is what we have done in ESOL this week and we are still continuing watching it because haven't finished it.

In the school holidays what I did was just watching some anime and movies, the things I did physically during the holidays was running and walking outside our house. Intellectually I realised that I learned how to be patient and wait for the school holidays to be over and get back to school. There was one thing that I have learned a word that I have never seen before or heard before and it is Gallus gallus domesticus try to find out what it means. That is what all I did during the Holidays.

In ESOL we needed to do a brief reflection that we have done this term, we also needed to answer a few question here it is.
What was the best lesson and Why?
The Best lesson was watching the Movies because all of us were quiet and focusing watching the movie, The movie that I really like was the Jamaican doing the Ice sleeding and they have to train without an eyes to be in the competition. The second movie that we watched was the Penguin Bloom it wasn't that bad but it is still good to watch, the movie was a family that found a bird at the beach.
What did you enjoy doing and why?
I think I enjoyed the game that we did were all of us have to write one word in a piece of paper and pass it to the next person and the next person has to add another word and keep doing it until we make a sentence. I like this activity because it was funny really funny the way the sentence was written down didn't make any sense and we were all laughing when were reading it out loud to the class.
What was one task you were proud of and why?
The task I am most proud of was the Penguin Bloom task were we have to make a presentation to present to the whole class, and research about birds and the places of the characters wen't it was really fun. We also add some facts so are classmates can know something about birds or about some places.
What is something you could do differently/Better next term?
I think what I would do differently next term is listen more so I have lots of information about the movie that we have watched, and writing in a more specific way.
Anything else you wish to share about this term?
I wan't to share about the game of kahoot that we did because it was a fun game and the questions were challenging to answer.

In ESOL we firstly red a book called Trolley, then we needed to answer a few questions about the story that we needed to answer. What we learned about the story is that money doesn't buy everything and being grateful what you have. In our last activity we have to pick a person and write the story from their point of View. So I pick a person and it is a kid named Hoani the story is about them receiving a home made gift for Christmas here is the writing that I have done.
It was School Holidays because it was almost Christmas me and my sister wanted to stay up late at night because we don't have school but our mum wanted us to sleep early we don't even know why she want's us to sleep early. Me and my sister mumbled why mum wanted us to go to sleep early it took us so long to sleep because it was still early to sleep for Christmas Eve. When we woke up our mum told us that we have a present out by the steps we I couldn't say anything I was speechless me and my sister jumped in straight on the Trolley and wen't down the ramp it was so fun and our friends started comming and having turns using the Trolley, after a few hours of playing and playing we told are mum to get on the Trolley and she went down the ram speeding.

In ESOL we have to post about our 100 words writing and we have to change it a bit a fix our spelling and our grammar the title of the writing that I have done is ( What I hate about chores ) here is the writing that I have done.
What I hate the most when doing chores is when I am tired and I still have to do the dishes and also doing the laundry. Sometimes I really like doing chores because I think it is fun helping my parents with some of the house work that they do when they get home after work. The chores that I hate the most are doing the laundry, because there are lots of clothes that I have to wash and also hang them outside, after they dry I have to fold them. That is what I hate the most in chores.

At the moment I came into my ESOL class my teacher suddenly started reading she did not say that she was going to read a book/give a heads-up that she was going to read. She was reading quietly then the whole class was quietly listening to her.
The story started from a boy named Noah I think he was the main character of the story because even do the story just started. He also has two brothers and both of his parents Noah wanted to become a photographer and he also already had use his fathers camera at age 13. Noah and his family already went to Kenya 5 times. Our teacher also did not tell us the name of the book.
I think what the story is going to be about is that Noah became the best photographer in his country and being supported by his whole family his brothers and parents.

In ESOL the first thing that we did was to go into our groups because the teacher gave us numbers before we came in to the class. Then we started finding our group members and go to a table together. The activity that we have done is called HOT POTATO. What we did was have a sheet of paper and each person in the group will have a piece of paper then we have to write one word on the sheet of paper and then past it to the next person that is in our right side. Then when we get the next paper we had to add another one word because each time a paper comes you have to add one word. After a few minutes it started making sentences but when we read it it didn't make sense at all. So what we have done is to fix the writing and remake it so it make sense.

In ESOL we have to write one fun thing that we like doing in ESOL. Is doing some quizes in ESOL because I think it is fun because we get to be in groups and I like doing quizes because we do lots of team work together and think together in our groups. Maybe nextime in ESOL we could do some more fun stuff like doing a kahoot or quizlet live.
