In Maori this is what I have done and I wrote about the whale rider that we have done here it is.
I thought that the whale rider would be like a person riding a whale and saving some person that is drowning. But it was different from what I thought it was like a culture from the early age that has been passed down to the generation today The little girl in the story has been chosen to be a leader but she just did not turn out to be leader easily. She dove under the water and got the whale's tooth that had been thrown under the water by his grandfather. Then she heard her grandfather trying to speak to the ancestor and their ancestor couldn’t hear her grandfather so she tried speaking to the ancestor and it worked. But it was a disaster the whales were running out of breath because they were on the shore of the beach. Then her grandfather called the whales and called the other people to help him move the whales back to the beach water but they couldn’t push back the whales because they were too tired to move. When her grandfather saw the whale leader they tried pushing the whale with all the other people. Then the little girl rode the whale and it moved by itself back to the little girl but the little girl drowned.
