Hi,
AIM- In Chemistry we have to make the dirty water clean and separate the dirt and water to make the water clean.
Method-
1. Use a 250ml beaker get 200ml of water.
2. Add 2 spoonfuls of dirt.
3. Add 100ml of oil.
4. Add a spoonful of pebbles.
5. Stir it for 2 min.
6. Label a piece of paper with your name with your names and place it under your beaker.
7. Take a photo of your experiment.
So in science we continued doing our dirty water experiment.
Aim: To Dilute Our Dirty Water.
Method:
Stir your dirty water for 1min.
Using a measuring cylinder, measure 100mL of you dirty water into another beaker.
Add 100mL of water to the dirty water.
Stir for 2mins.
Discard the original 100mL of dirty water.
Repeat again.
Take a photo of your experiment.
How did you make the dirty water? We made the dirty water by getting some water, dirt and oil.
How did you dilute it? We diluted it by taking 100ml of water from the beaker and then left over water gets thrown away and we needed to add 100ml of water clean into the beaker after putting the left over 100ml of dirty water.
How did you filter it? We filtered it by getting some 2 funnels, paper towel, filtered paper and a stand we then set it up and started filtering the dirty water.
Result:
Discussion- So we made the dirty water by getting some solute ( Pebbles, Dirt ) and solvent ( Oil,Water ) then we have to stir it up for 2 minutes.
Then after a few days we created out stand to filtrate our diluted water and separate the concentrated (Solid) from the solvent ( Liquid ).
After filtering the diluted I think it kind of works because it separated the solute from the solvent so I think it really works but the solvent colour of the oil was still there. But at least it turned almost to a clean normal water here is the final result of the diluted filtrated water.
I didn't know oil cleaned water, good job Joshua.
