Athletics Day

This term 4 we have been doing athletics on Tuesday the 28 of the Nov we went athletics on our field and all of the Hornby Primary student are going on the athletics. So this is what we have to do on our Athletics day we have to do Sprints,Shot put, Long Distance, High Jump and Discus, long Jump. At the Sprints I really like what plays I came because I came at the first round 2nd and at the second round I came 3rd because I am vs the fastest and they beat me because they are so fast at Sprinting that's why I just came 3rd at the second round my also favorite athletics is sprints.

And we eat our Lunch....

 Then after lunch we rested a bit and we just play a little bit game when we are resting in the shade and we play ketchup game that you will slap the other person's hand. After we rest we did Shot put at the Shot Put we have to carry the ball and hold it whit your hand. Then put it on your shoulders before you push it the Shot Put it's not throwing it's pushing the ball. Then Axle,Lasa,Jullien got to the finals of the Shot Put because they throw the furthest.

Then we did Long Distance then I came 6th place because I am to slow at long Distance and I am getting tired so fast. But I still try my best then I made it to the finish line but it's okay that the beat me because it's just for fun the Athletics day. Then I have really fun day on the Athletics  day I was so happy at the Long Distance. Because it's good for you to run.

After the Long Distance we have to rest again because we got tired at long Distance because we did 4 laps at the field that's why we go on resting again. Then We did High jumped and me I can't even jump higher some of them jump a one meter and they did very good job because they can steal jump of that high. Me I can't even jump more higher because it's so high.

Then we did Discus and I did not win because they are very good thrower and farther me I can't even throw the Discus the circle plate thing that it is heavy. That's why I can't throw it harder and farther on the Discus but it still fun of that athletics game.

On long Jump I did not know what place I came but I got farther because I got 2.5 Meters on Long Jump. At the second round of the long Jump I still got 2.5 Meters on Long Jump That's why I can't even win on it and It's alright if i lost on it because they got the most farthest Jump on Long Jump. That's all we did on long Jump On Tuesday

Computers

Hi guys. For the last past two weeks we have been doing our Information report and we have to choose what are we gonna do on our Information report then I choose computer Today I have a writing about computers. This writing will tell you who made the first computer but I can tell you now who is the first one who made the computer it was Charles Babbage who made the first one. The first country that have computer it London because Charles Babbage made it on London. For the long time also that I have been researching about my information report and I so some of it that they have the same writing and one of them copy one of there writing. That's why we made a Information report and we have to write it on our own words that's why I did a lot of researching only for my Information report we have been doing this also in a weeks that's why we need to post it on our blog to sea other children what our we doing. So some children that commented in my blog from another country that will be nice if they sea my blog and comment. I hope you also can put feed back on my blog I hope you like my story about the computers that I have been doing on my Information report and I hope you learned something about the computers that I write because I did a hard work on it on researching. I also gonna tell you that some of us made the Information report on the slide show or in the google docs but me I just did it on the google docs because its very easy to write on it. We also did not need a group to make the story because we have to write it on our own words.

   First computer invented

Hi my name is Joshua and today I will tell you the first computer made. Computers are helping us to learn not to cheat for Example search it on the google like 1+1 = you don’t know and you search it on the google and it say it’s 2. So here some idea to use the computer’s properly use computers to do researching or research for some facts like polar bears not to copy their writing that you so on the screen because you don’t have any permissions. Computers are also amazing because when you press the keys on the keyboard it’s going to be in the same time on your screen.

And the first computer made is a metal it doesn’t have any screen because it’s only a meta. This computer is very awesome because you can’t sea any keyboards but you can type on it because at the side that is where the letters are. But first you have to put some papers in the middle of it and you also have to put some inks because you have to put it like on the bottle that is where you put the inks. You can also get tired because if you get out of papers you have to get another one and if you get out of inks you have to get another one.

But the builder who is the first one to make the computer he is awesome because no one know’s who can build the computers on that year. Because they doesn’t have any internet connection and that computer you don’t need to worry to charge it because it’s a metal and it’s a manual because you only have to put some inks and you can write any what you want. But that year the first computer made you can’t draw on it because you can only type a letter because they haven't know how to made that yet like our computer now.

But today the computer is now not like that because today the computers is so cool because now you can sea picture from it and you can watch videos and play some games. You can also now use the computers for learning to the school it helps you to learn not to cheat that you're searching it up on the google if you don’t know the answer and to day you can use the computers because you can take it off from the plog it out from the charge and you can take it where you ever want it to go. You can also use it as a charger because at the side you can charge your phone on it.

Do you know how the computer made they try to find some Engines. They also made the computer not so easy because they don’t know how to made it yet. So this is only a trial for them if the computer is gonna work they will build thousands of them that’s why they can sell it. So that the computers will get famous and famous on that year that’s why they will build thousands of computers.

After they build the computers the first one who build the computers that person is really famous on that year. Because no one knows how to build a computer they said some of the scientists help the person who is the first one who build the computer. That’s why when the computer is finished is really awesome but is only made out by one person and I did a lot of research here to find out who made the first computer and here it is Charless Babbage.

This sentence can help you or not because I gonna tell you where is the first computer made? So a lot of researching I found what country they made the first computer and I read the sentences. Then they said on the writing that the first computer was in the England.

They also said that the first computer made it doesn’t use any electricity that’s why you don’t need to worry about the electricity at your house. They said that the computer is a manual that’s why they build that don’t have any electricity computer and that is really cool made.

I also gonna tell you that this first computer made is very hard to make because they haven’t know how to make prototypes that’s why it takes many years. It was like that what I was researching on this computer that they made it a thousands of years to make it and after they made it they are very lucky to have the computers.

For this researching I found what day and year the first computer made so they said that the first computer made was on February 15, 1946. That is the day that they finish making the computer and it looks awesome when they show it on the TV.

And some of the computers are big that they build the first one and some of them are small. The first computer made also is like that you can see that computers wire at the back of it and the back of the computer are really long because they have to put long wires on it. That’s why the computer will work and if the computer doesn't have any wire maybe it’s not gonna work that’s why they put a wire on it.

They said that the machine that they use on the first computer made is and Engine and it’s could the Analytical Engine  that this Engine can do conceived. That thing is helping that computer to work that’s why the computer are really big and at the back of it there is the Engines.

This first computer Invented also can’t do and answering questions like maths. Because they haven’t know how to make a computer like our one because that is a long time ago because they don’t have any Internet. That’s why they made an a manual computer that don’t use electricity.

This video can show how charles Babbage computer works that’s why I been researching some video that it is real that charles Babbage made this computer. But they say that he did not finish it because he died and some scientist tried to finish the computer and could for some help from other scientist that’s why they can finish it. But the computer they made is just like you have to roll it then it will write some letters maybe you can get this video but me I don’t get this video because it’s look like not even real.

If you watch the link you can sea that the computer have number at the side of it. But the truth is that s the letters at the inside of it that’s why they have to keep rolling the computer that’s why can write at the piece of a paper. It was also easy to use because all you have to do is scroll the lever side and then to the other side. It was also fun because the people try the computer they were really like to buy it.

The inside of the computer is like this this is the parts of it and you can sea there that is have letters on it. Charles Babbage is also smart because we did not know that the computer that he made is only that you have to pull the lever and then you can write on it.

Charless Babbage is look like this and when he build the computer on that year he is very old like this on the picture. That’s why he did not finish the computer and some scientist helped  Charless Babbage and then he just died on that year but don’t worry about that it was a long time ago.

This last year long time ago they tried to build the computer like charles Babbage made but they don’t know. It was small but when they finish building it it was bigger than a person it wasn't like Charles Babbage made and there lever is big to because if the lever is small the will laugh at it because computers big and lever is small.

Every time they move the lever is the same time that at the piece of paper the letter that you write on it. They were very lucky that someone invented a computer and I just don’t know where they get the word computer or maybe I just need to do more researching for this and where did they get the word computer.

They could it the computer because it compute some questions that’s why the could it the computer they also say could it compute. But on that year the computer that they made can’t computer any questions but our computer is can computer questions know because now scientist they are the ones who is inventing machines.

Charless Babbage is an Engineer that’s why he Invented the computer first computer because no one else know how to make computer. He made the computer because he wants to help people he doesn’t want them to write at the piece of paper that’s why he Invented the computer that’s why we have now a computer.

He’s computer that he made is also can solve maths questions he made it that’s why the teacher don’t get confused how much are they. He made it for there country he made it because he likes to be the first one who made the awesome computer that they never ever made a computer.

Charles Babbage is also live in London he was travelling around the world but he born on United Kingdom. He also went to england he grew up there and he just get older and older on London Charles Babbage also made the first computer on London that’s why the London is the first country that have a computer that is because Charles Babbage Invented computer. When he finish it people tried to make computers as many as they want like Charles Babbage made.

After they made the computer they went to sell the computer and then they sell it like a thousands of dollars or its more than that. He sell it like 200 thousand dollars that’s why the computer is not easy to sell that year because it's so expensive. This is the end of the computer and this is also the end of my writing.

Canterbury Swim School

This week we have been swimming on Canterbury Swim school. We have to swim to the end of the swimming pool and practice doing backstroke when we know how to do backstroke. After one day we jumped at the jumping board when we are jumping on the jumping board and it was my turn I was feel nervous. But after I jumped on the jumping board I got more fun doing it that's why I got to do it many times until we finished doing swimming. The reason they teach us how to swim that's why you can swim on the water not drowning on the water and if your drowning the easy way to do'it do a backstroke you just lay down on the water and look up straight that's why you can only float to the water and only you have to do is move you foot and swim away from the water. This was the last of the swimming lessons they have to jump on the jumping board all of them they will have a turn to do it and they only have to do the same thing like we did this days of swimming lessons.


And I got a lot more better at doing backstroke at swimming. The backstroke is also fun because you just gonna lay down on the water and you will automatically float on the water. This is also for safety because if you down know how to swim you can just lay down on the water and you will float.

MANCALA

This week Me and Quaid we have been reading Instructions how to play MANCALA. Then we have to play this game and first we have to read the instructions before we played it. Because if you did not read it and some one says they no how to played it and they cheated. That's why we made a slide show how to play the MANCALA that's why they will play well at the games and that's why no one can cheated on this game.

Reasons for and against Bees

For this week. We have been learning about the bees and we read some books and some of them on the site because we need to put good things and bad things about bees.

I put some facts about Bees For Examples. Then we read some about honey then I found something that they made the honey Bandage but they could it Healing Honey. Then they use healing honey that wounds get infected they don't heal and Honey contains a chemical called hydrogen peroxide. Then this bacteria helps wounds to heal. They said to that the bees they pollinate tomatoes and other fruits to help grow. Then they said that if the Bees died there no more Honey. Bees are good because they make a hips of honey and Bees make frame honey comb because they were putting the honey inside that frame because its have a hips of whole each whole have a honey.

They get honey from the flowers. They like flowers. The bees put pollen on the flowers. They really like the honey because they carry it for a long long time. The Queen Bumblebees lays eggs. Live the Bumblebees alone and they live you alone. Bumblebees help plants grow. Farmers really like bees because they pollinate crop Worker Bees bring foods. Bees build underground nest of wax. They made Honey Bandage and if you put honey bandage on your leg and it would be sticky and messy, and the honey bandage would slide off when the skin warmed it up.

They gonna sting you if you distract them getting the Honey. They will died after they sting you or some bees don’t die. They make extremely buzz noise if they get on a group. They make noise if you want to relax outside of your back yard at the afternoon. Bumblebees live for one season before they died. Sometimes worker Bees kill the Queen Bees. Bumblebees can sting more than once sometimes. The Bees are annoying because if you want to go picnic they smell the food or sometimes if you just live them alone they are not gonna sting. Bumblebees are so scary because they are so big. New Queen Bees live alone over the winter. If the Bees sting you and you are allergic you can lose consciousness and you can get your neck will swallow and it’s you breath hardly and you can die. Carpenter bees can ruin your home if they are able to get inside and start hollowing out the wood beams.

Partly cloudly

For this week we have been writing about the partly cloudy it was a very good video because the cloud was have face. The clouds was look like fluffy and like marshmallows.

The city was getting dark and the sun was shining it was orange. The birds were going down to the city and they were going to the colorful tall houses. The birds was carrying some blankets and there were delivering them to the other peoples on the whole city. The birds were flying now and they was so fast they were like Airplanes or faster than Airplanes.

The birds went up to the clouds and the clouds were shining orange. They were like humans because they were have  face.They look like so fluffy and like marshmallows, Cotton Candy and Cotton Balls.

The cloud looked like kind but they are really kind they are the one who is making the presents to the people. They make it because they want the people to be happy. But this storm lonely cloud he is making a dangerous presents and scary he make crocodile’s and some sharks.

All of the birds was happy but this bird is little bit happy because he is doing some hard working. This bird was giving endangered presents to the people or to other animals on the city. That bird was truthful and kind but he was working with the stormy cloud. Then that bird can do it anymore.

That bird went to the good and shiny clouds because he so the puppies and it was socute. Then the stormy cloud look at the shiny cloud and kind he look at it because he’s bird went there. But the truth is his bird go there because he went to get the rugby gear and the bird wear it.

The stormy cloud was get angry and that stormy cloud was getting bigger and bigger but he stop and get back to normal then he started crying and it start raining down the city, it was thundering to because it was raining and the stormy cloud stopped caring.

The stormy cloud bird was carrying something and it a rugby gear. The bird put the suit on write at the front on the stormy cloud. The bird wants to give more dangerous animals to the other people.

The bird was really like now helping the stormy cloud and giving some dangerous animals. The bird was really like wearing now the rugby gear on suit.
